Born as the granddaughter of a bespoke tailor, Hamburg-based designer Lara Krude developed a great fascination for traditional craftsmanship and the high quality of handmade clothing at an early age. After several years as a designer in Milan, she won the prestigious Designer for Tomorrow Award in 2017 under the patronage of Stella McCartney. Aware that the over-consumption of fast fashion not only pollutes our environment but also drives the decline of quality and craftsmanship, Lara Krude decided to launch her eponymous slow fashion brand in 2018 as a counter-measure. In the very same year of its foundation, LARA KRUDE was accepted into the Vogue Salon.
